Request a new response on a submission

Once a report has been submitted, review its responses and, if anything needs a second look, request a revised response on specific questions, with an explanation the responding organization can see.

Before you start:

Steps

  1. In the left navigation pane, click Reporting > Submission Tracker. The submission tracker displays the Scheduled tab.
  2. Click the Ready for Review tab. Reports submitted by responding organizations are listed with a status of Pending Review.
  3. Click the name of the report. The report summary and its responses display.
  4. Review all of the responses.
  5. If a response needs to be revised or expanded, click Request new response next to it. In the text box that opens, explain the change you'd like to see.
  6. Click Send request. The text box closes and a Last Comment field captures your request.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for any other responses that need changes. You can request changes on as many responses as you need.
  8. Click < Back to all reports. The whole submission has moved to the Changes Requested tab.

What happens next

  • The responding organization receives an email for each change you requested.
  • They can only edit the responses you flagged. Everything else stays as submitted.
  • When they open the report, a banner walks them through each response that needs changes.
  • When they resubmit, the report returns to the Ready for Review tab. To see only the updated responses, turn on Show new response requests and submissions only.
  • The report won't appear in your analytics until you approve it.

Caution: If you request a new response on a question that shows or hides other questions due to conditional logic, the organization's answers to those follow-up questions may be cleared.
