Review and publish a report

Before a report goes out, review its dates, its universal and targeted forms, and which organizations will see what. Preview the submission experience, then publish.

Before you start:

Steps

  1. In the left navigation pane, click Reporting > Report Builder. The Reports screen displays.
  2. If you're not already in the report you want to work with, click Continue Editing next to the reporting period you want to edit.
  3. Click the Review & Publish tab.
  4. Review the dates in the Reporting period and Customized dates areas.
  5. In the Forms in this period area, click the > arrow to show which forms are universal and which are targeted.
  6. In the Organization(s) area, search for or scroll to an organization, then click the > arrow to display its contacts and which forms they'll receive.
  7. Click Preview next to an organization. A Submission Preview window shows the full, interactive submission as that organization will see it, including only the forms targeted to them.
  8. In the upper right corner, click X Close preview.
  9. At the bottom of the screen, click Save report.
  10. In the upper right corner, click Publish reports. The Submission Tracker displays with the scheduled reports listed for each organization.

What happens next

  • Submissions stay in the Scheduled tab until the submission window opens.
  • On the report's open date, each organization's administrators receive an email asking them to respond, and the submission moves to Open.
  • Contacts you've recently added to an organization receive their invitation at this point.

Caution: Publishing changes to an open period
If you add forms to a reporting period that's already open and publish again, only organizations that haven't submitted yet will receive the new forms. Organizations that have already submitted won't see them.
