To make room for new data, you may choose to delete data from a data set or a data table. Download your data before you delete a data table or a data set so you don’t lose access to the information once it’s deleted.
⚠️ Important: Once you delete a data table or edit information in a data table, there's no way to get the old table or data back. Unfortunately, we cannot recover deleted data.
💡 To add more data sets and data tables you may need to upgrade your plan. Learn more about different plan options offered by UpMetrics.
Definition of Data Sets and Data Tables
Your account has a specific number of data sets, which you can think of as filing cabinets. And a specific number of data tables, which you can think of as files. It’s great to label your data sets with a general topic and then the data tables within them with more specific topics. This allows you to save your data and get the most value out of the data tables you have available.
To prevent a future headache, we suggest downloading your data in a CSV file before you delete something permanently from a data table or data set.
Steps to download your data in a CSV file:
1. Select the collect tab.
2. Ensure you are viewing the data table you’d like to download. On the right side of your screen, select export to download the data in that table into a CSV format.
3. Check your computer’s recent downloads to confirm you see the CSV file is downloaded
🎉 Nice work! Way to save the day.
