Add or edit a program

A program represents an area of work, initiative, or funding focus and can be associated with stories for filtering and reporting. Here's how to add new programs, edit existing ones, and use its overview screen to explore the stories linked to it.

Before you start: Ensure your UpMetrics login is assigned an Org Admin role. Only Org Admins can create programs. Once the program is created, the Org Admin can assign other users as Program Admins, who are then able to manage the program from there. Learn more about roles and permissions.

Add a program

  1. In the left navigation, click Programs > All Programs.

  2. In the top right corner, click the Add program button.

  3. Enter a unique name in the Program name field (required, up to 250 characters).

  4. Optionally, add a description in the Program description field (up to 1,000 characters).

  5. Select one or more names from the Program Admin(s) drop-down list to give those users Program Admin permissions for this program only.

  6. Click the Create program button. The new program appears in the Programs list.

Edit a program

  1. Click the three vertical dots on an existing program tile and select Edit.

  2. Edit the Program title, Program description, or Program admin(s).

  3. Click the Save changes button.

View the program overview and filter from a chart

  1. Click an existing program tile from the Programs list. The Program overview screen displays the program title, admins, creation date, description, and charts for Stories, Sentiment, and Content types over the past six months.

  2. Click a value in any chart, for example Report in the Content type chart, to open the Stories screen filtered to only the stories associated with that program and matching that value.
