Charts in Advanced Analytics

Getting Started

To create a chart:

  1. Navigate to Charts in the top navigation

  2. Click on + CHART to start creating

  3. Select your data table

  4. Choose a visualization type from the chart gallery

  5. Edit and modify your chart using the Data and Customize tabs

  6. Click Update Chart to preview the results

  7. Save your chart

Chart Types

Time Series Charts

Help you understand how variables change over time, including:

  • Line charts

  • Bar charts

  • Area charts

  • Time series bar charts

Composition Charts

Show how different parts make up a whole:

  • Pie charts

  • Donut charts

  • Area charts with time elements

Distribution Charts

Display the frequency distribution of variables:

  • Histograms

  • Box plots

  • Tables with distribution data

Relationship Charts

Visualize how variables relate to each other:

  • Scatter plots

  • Heatmaps

  • Sankey diagrams

Chart Customization

After selecting a chart type, use the Customize tab to:

  • Modify colors, labels, and axes

  • Adjust chart dimensions and layout

  • Configure legends

  • Enable advanced analytics features

Customization options differ depending on the Chart Type

Permissions and Data Access

  1. Viewers, Editors, and Org Admins can access a chart as long as the user has at least view access to the underlying data sources.

Sharing Charts

  1. Navigate to edit a chart

  2. Copy the URL; or
  3. Select the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner

  4. Hover over "Share" to see your sharing options

  5. Select "Share chart by email" or "Copy chart permalink"
